Dugi's Guide Viewer v4.20 Update is now available with several new features!

* Ant Trail Feature: An 'Ant trail' will now appear on your
map and minimap to help you find those waypoints easier.
It will also connect the waypoints together to create a route
on your map,  this will only work if you're using TomTom.
(Carbonite already have an ant trail feature)

* Updated Waypoint System:  The waypoints should now point in
the order of the description rather than pointing to the last
coordinates first.

* Updated Waypoint Descriptions: The waypoints description
for accepting and turning in quests will also include
the NPC name for easier reference.

* Over 200 Bug fixes for Leveling, Dungeon and Dailies
Guide, special thanks to everyone that submitted the bug
reports in the forum.

* Daily/Event guides tab have been merged together,
the events guide can be found at the bottom of the
Daily/Event tab.

* Ach/Prof tab have been added for our upcoming in-game
Achievement and Profession leveling guide.

So incase you're wondering we still have plans to release
our Achievement and Profession leveling guide before
Cataclysm is released, we are trying to cover as many
achievements as we can so players can complete their
achievements before Cataclysm arrive.

This is important as some achievements will be gone forever
but you get to keep them if you have already completed the
achievement, a great way to secure have more achievement
points than everyone else for bragging rights :).

Some of achievement guides will also be in video format as
well as in-game.

The Profession Leveling guides will save you from alt tabbing
from the game to read guides, and it will provide you with a
step by step guide that will auto detect with routes and
waypoints to find trainers, materials etc to make leveling
your professions easier than ever.

The Achievements & Profession guides will require cheap
upgrade fee, it won't as big as any of our main guides so
it will be a lot cheaper and Cataclysm updates for it will be
free.

Unfortunately I'm not able to give you an ETA at this time,
we are working as fast as we can.

I highly recommend you update your Dugi's Guide Viewer addon
to v4.20 and also reinstall the guide for best results,
visit our download area below for the updates.

A lot of you have been asking us as to what our plans are for Cataclysm updates. 

Well I’m sorry it took so long and here is the official announcement...

• Cataclysm Updates will be included to customers who purchase from July 24th 2010 onwards or have only owned our guides for less than 6 months prior to Blizzards release of Cataclysm.
  The updates will include Leveling / Dungeon / Dailies & Events Guide.
• Cataclysm Dungeon Guide updates will be free to all customers who own it.
• The first 500 customers who bought our Dungeon Leveling Guide during our opening special will receive all updates for Cataclysm for free, (Dailies & Events guides will be included).
• Cataclysm updates to all Bonus Guides will be free to all customers who own it.
• Customers who have purchased our guide before November 2008 would have inherited our Lifetime Update** promise and they will receive a free update to the Cataclysm Leveling Guide and any future expansions.
• An update fee for Leveling and Dailies & Events Guide Cataclysm content will be required for all other customers that didn’t fit any of the criteria above.
• Cost will be $20 for a single guide  or $30 for both Leveling & Dailies guides  (upgrade fee will cover both Alliance & Horde)

** We used to offer Lifetime Update promise in the past however this offer was removed at the end of November 2008  and we will honor that promise for all customers who purchased our Leveling guide before November 2008.

FAQ

1. What updates will I get for free if I didn’t fit any of the criteria above? ( Recently purchased or within 6 month grace period, Inherit lifetime update for Leveling guide, or First 500 Dungeon Guide customer)
   • Updates to Dugi’s Guide Viewer addon are always free.
   • Updates for Level 1-80 content are free ensure that all Classic, Burning Crusade and  Wrath of the Lich King content will work for you.
   • Updates to all Bonus Guide that you currently own are free when they are ready.
2. What will Cataclysm updates fee cover?
   Leveling Guide update fee will cover new Worgen and Goblin starting zone and the newLevel 80-85 zones.
   Dailies & Events Guide update fee will cover level 85 Dailies & Events guide
3. I purchased my guide after November 2008  and it says LIFETIME in the members area, doesn’t this mean I will get lifetime updates ?
   This is a definition required by our Membership system so that your account would never expire and you will be able to access the product that you have purchased for life. This does not imply that you’re entitled to free lifetime updates as you would have only seen this message AFTER your purchased.  please refer to the original sales page for the complete description of what you have purchased.
4. When will the Cataclysm updates be released ?
   Close to the release of Cataclysm expansion itself,  our goal is to complete the Leveling and Dungeon guide first and get you ready just before Cataclysm is released. Then we will release the updates for Dailies guide a little later.
5. The update fee cover both Alliance & Horde and I only play eg. Alliance  will there be a cheaper option for single side faction?
   No sorry we will only offer the 1 price, think of it as a Bonus..  (ie. Update fee for Alliance will come with Horde update as bonus and vice versa)
6. When will the Bonus Guides be updated?
   Our main focus is to complete the 3 paid in-game guides updated first and have them running smoothly 100% ,  then we will update the Bonus Guides as soon as we can.  We hope to get them done within the first couple of month of Cataclysm.
7. So if I purchase your guide right now I am 100% covered for Cataclysm?

Cataclysm the new expansion from World of Warcraft is going to make some serious changes to both high and low level gathering. It should be easier overall and hopefully a little more interesting.

In high level herbalism there is going to be a rare item called Volatile Life that can be found on any of the Cataclysm herbs. These items are what is going to be used to create the new flasks. Hopefully this new system will help keep flasks a little easier for everyone to make. There will not be another Lotus situation where 5% of the players farm all of the herb needed for many flasks and the rest of the population is left buying it from them for high prices.

There will be many new fish to catch as well as some new items. A set of new dailies related to fishing is also in the works.

There is going to be some renaming of old gatherables but overall they look like they will remain pretty close to the same. In skinning there again seems to be a shift to making rare items more rarely available. The rare pristine hides can be found while skinning but it can also be made from the common  Heavy Savage Leather. This move will shift some of the focus from pure luck to the ability to get what you need from a little extra work as well.

The new changes in gathering should make it a little easier to get what you need on your own. Rare items will not be quite as rare as they used to be. Many changes are still to be determined so it is important to get in on the Beta test to find out more when it is released.

Cataclysm is almost here. You can almost feel the rapid heartbeats of 13 million rabid WoW fans around the world beating in tandem as they wait breathlessly for the next set of new content to finally land. But, if this is your first expansion or if you just didn’t pay much attention the last time around, you may want to know that there are a few good reasons to upgrade your gold making efforts before the new x-pac gets here and you find yourself woefully underfunded.

New Gear and Consumables

Whenever a new expansion lands there are plenty of ways to spend gold and while you won’t need much for the first 5 levels up to Level 85, you will need some big cash the second you hit 85 to buy your first raiding gear, at least if you don’t want to grind on 5 man dungeons for two months. Crafted epics can go for 1000+ gold each and yet you’ll need a bunch of them to get yourself fully prepared. Consumables are no better.

Mounts, Skills Ups, and Quests

We all know that flying in the old world is coming, but how much will it cost. And if there are new mount types, like Wrath’s mammoths, how much will those cost? The odds are that you’re going to be spending a few thousand gold developing the skills and mounts you need just to get around. And don’t forget all those early quests that you’ll get gouged on. Remember the Overcharged Capacitor. Greedy Engineers were making 150 gold a pop on those puppies last time around.

Profession Leveling

One of the first things that any Level 80+ character will want to do is to get their professions levelled up immediately. That requires a lot of gold in some cases, with brand new materials and massive demand across the board. If you’re a crafter and need herbs or ore, expect to spend thousands upon thousands of gold getting what you need to reach the new skill level cap.

The truth is that any new expansion pack is a huge gold sink, but with two already under our belts and inflation nearly out of control, you can bet that Cataclysm will push things to an entirely new level of expensiveness. Be ready for whatever may come and have some gold on hand now and you’ll do well.
