I don't like to brag much...well, that's not true - I love to brag.
But I don't do it that often because it's really not that polite. I
mean you guys already have enough pompous Tier 8s running around
out there telling you how awesome they are - why should I join the
chorus. But every now and then I do something particularly cool and
feel like sharing.

This time around, I'm here to share my discovery of a top notch and
almost never farmed hot spot for finding one of the rarest of
Northrend's rare mobs - the Time-Lost Proto Drake. Here's the deal:

We all know that Rare Elites show up on a 6 hour timer or so,
shared between all rares in the zone. Finding one is a pain in the
butt. But, every now and then they'll pop and the rewards are
pretty sweet. Well, located in Storm Peaks is a hot spot around
31,48 where you can farm on Stormriders. They drop Crystallized Air
and Relics of Ulduar at a pretty high clip. You will also find a
great deal of vendor loot and some rares and uncommons in their
loot tables. To top things of though, these guys are right under
the flight path and spawn points for the Time Lost Proto Drake.

This isn't just a Rare Elite though. You kill this bad boy and you
will get the Reins of the Time Lost Proto Drake and guarantee
yourself a new mount - and a darned fast one at that. So, set up a
targeting macro for it, run it constantly while farming here and if
you're around long enough, enjoy your new mount.
